All professional Divers in United Kingdom waters and those identified as being at work under the HSE Approved Codes of Practice require annual diving medical examinations. Details are available on the HSE website. Dr Scott-Brown is an HSE Approved medical Examiner of Divers. Please call the Practice on the number above to discuss arrangements.
For the first ever diving medical a report is required from your own GP and a full blood count is also required. We can arrange the latter but it is often easier to arrange this in advance via your own GP. Please discuss these arrangements at the time of booking.
Doctor Scott-Brown is also a Medical Referee appointed by the UK Sports Diving Medical Committee to advise recreational divers on their fitness to dive. The UKSDMC website explains the scheme.
Charges depend on the work involved, please phone the practice on 02392 009 117 to discuss.
